Special Activities
- Collected 2000 above Corneas and helped to restore vision in corneally blind persons, all tissues are utilized in East Godavari District and surrounding areas.
- Conducted 600 above Audio Visual Programmes for various sections of society as part of awareness creation.
- Participated in public functions like Seminars, Fetes, College functions, Jataras, Sports ground and in General Exhibitions etc. to interact and educate the people. Sofar conducted 300 programmes.
- CME Programme to Eye Specialists in Kakinada, “Eye Banking and corneal processing”.
- Successfully conducted various programmes as mentioned above with special thrust in the specified “Eye donations fortnights” in August and September every year from last 3 years as per the guide lines of “Eye Bank Association of India”.
- Motivated the public in involving them in our activities by becoming “Friends of Eye Bank”.
- Motivated various organizations and establishments to provide funds & publicity through hoardings, T.V. advertisements, News Paper, Publications, Stickers, brouchers etc.
- Understanding with Government General Hospital and Other hospitals in Carrying our “Hospital Cornea Retrieval Programme (HCRP)”.
- The Department of Income Tax is pleased to give 80G facility to all financial Donor’s to our Kakinada Eye Foundation.
- We are having network for getting eye donation by establishing Call Centers is surroundings 4 towns.
- Member of Eye Bank Association of India.
- Strictly following the Human Organs Transplantation Act 1994 Government of India and 1995 Andhra Pradesh State Act.
